Concert Raises Money for Montague Co. Kids

The Montague County Child Welfare Board has two big events planned to help more than 125 children in foster care.

Saturday night, recording artist 1100 Springs rocked the house at Daddy Sam's in Nocona.

Tickets for the show were $50.  A silent auction followed the dinner/concert.

Proceeds are going to pay for health, educational and basic care needs of children.

On Sept. 25th and 26th.  the Deep in the Heart of Texas Ranch Rodeo will also help raise funds.

Clint Brown, chairman of the Montague County Child Welfare Program,  said there is a huge need for foster care in Montague County, largely because of methamphetamine abuse.
