It was a slow start, but a fast finish!
The #12 ranked Midwestern State Mustangs beat Southwestern Oklahoma State Saturday night at Memorial Stadium for Military Appreciation Night in a Lone Star Conference crossover match up.
After the first half, MSU only led 11-2. Their points came from a safety and three field goals, but once the second half started, the Mustangs got their groove on.
They scored 28 points in the third quarter turning a nine point lead into a commanding 37-point edge.
Zack Eskridge passed for a season high 271 yards and three touchdowns while Marcus Mathis led the Mustangs with a game-high 129 yards on 21 carries and two touchdowns.
Midwestern State collides with Central Oklahoma next Saturday at Wantland Stadium in Edmond.
