Border Governors Seek Immigration Reform

A meeting between border governors has led to the call for congress to pass immigration reform.

New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson, the only U.S. Governor to participate in the meeting, says he is hopeful a comprehensive immigration reform bill will be considered by Congress early next year.

Richardson co-hosted the meeting with California's Lieutenant Governor who was standing in for an ill Governor. Arnold Schwarzenegger.

A joint statement by the six Mexican state governors and Richardson says they recognize the need for immigration reform.
