Wildcats Prepare for Home Opener

The Wichita Falls Wildcats will make their Fall 2010 home debut Friday night at Kay Yeager Coliseum.

They'll host the Fairbanks Ice Dogs and raise the banner from their season-opening championship at the NAHL Showcase Tournament in Blaine, Minnesota.

It's the first championship banner in team history, and they're excited to put it up, but they're also preparing for Fairbanks.

"You know, I don't know a lot [about Fairbanks]," said New Wildcats Head Coach Mark LeRose. "I've tried to do some pre-scout on the internet, but I've had some technical difficulties. I did see them up in Blaine a little bit.

"I know one of their leading scorers is a former Wildcat, J.T. Osborn, so we're going to have to do a good job in shutting him down, but other than that I'm just going to worry about our team."

The puck drops at 7:05 PM Friday night, then the Amarillo Bulls make their first-ever visit to Wichita Falls Saturday night, also at 7:05.
