Graham Won't Consider Ditching Their Dumpsters

Graham City Councilors say for now they will not be dumping their dumpsters.

Councilors met Thursday morning and decided not to put the issue on their agenda.

Last week councilors met with trash service contractors to discuss the possibility of going to a rollout container system for residential customers the change would have included curb-side bulk trash pickup and recycling.

Mayor Barry White told Newschannel 6 70% of Graham is served by these dumpsters. He says  he hasn't heard much complaining from those residents. Before the council considers this issue as an agenda item, the mayor feels its only fair that public hearings be held so Graham residents can have a say in the matter. As it stands now, public hearings have not been scheduled.
