Football Polls Roundup

After a come-from-behind win at Central Oklahoma, the Midwestern State Mustangs stayed put in the rankings at number 10.
In fact, the entire Top 10 remained unchanged in this week's AFCA Division 2 Coaches' Poll, with the Mustangs on the list for the 16th straight poll.

Around the Lone Star Conference Abilene Christian (#5), Texas A&M-Kingsville (#6) and West Texas A&M (#9) all stayed put.

High Schools

After another week of High School Football, one thing is clear: District 8A-II is really good.

Three teams are 4-1 or better, and two of them are receiving votes in the latest Texas Associated Press Poll.

The Archer City Wildcats, undefeated at 5-0, are up to #8 in the state. After receiving 22 votes in last week's poll, they jumped to 61 this week.

The Windthorst Trojans also popped up in the poll, receiving their first vote of the year.

Meanwhile Denton Ryan, who will play Rider a week from Friday and Old High in Week Nine, is at #4 in Class 4A.
