UPDATE: UT Campus Shooter Identified

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - Austin police have identified the University of Texas shooter as 19-year-old student Colton Tooley.

Law enforcement officials say they believe Tooley opened fire with an assault rifle at a University of Texas campus library before killing himself.

Campus police Chief Robert Dahlstrom at a Tuesday news conference that officials have ruled out the possibility of a second shooter.

The initial confusion was because the suspect fired shots in multiple locations.

Officials say Tooley fired AK-47 on the sixth floor of the library early Tuesday before killing himself.

College records indicate Tooley was a sophomore math major.
