New developments on a story Newschannel Six first brought to you last week.
With the approval of the Altus City Council, the State Department of corrections will be able to bring male inmates to a Work Center in the city.
They will be replacing female inmates who were removed from the center in August.
They were removed amid investigations into policy violations and inappropriate relationships.
Altus Mayor T.L. Gramling says the free inmate labor saves the city more than a million dollars.
