Former Texoma Postmaster Pleads Guilty

The former Postmaster of Elgin is facing 10 years in prison, a $250,000 fine and mandatory restitution.

James E. Draheim, 63, pleaded guilty to Theft of Public Funds from the U.S. Postal Service and filing a false tax return Tuesday.

The prosecution says between October of 2005 and September of 2009, Draheim embezzled nearly $650,000.

As part of his plea, Draheim has been ordered to pay all of that money back.
