Trial Date Set For Man Accused of Stealing From The Army

The trial date has been set for a Lawton man accused of stealing from the federal government.

The trial for Liangtian Yang is Nov. 8th.

Law enforcement says Yang tried to board a flight to China with electronic files containing restricted army documents.

Officials say Yang worked on experimental weapons for the army at Fort Sill.

He quit his job after he lost his security clearance for failing to report his marriage to a Chinese woman.

Yang faces up to one year in prison if convicted.
