Montague Co. Jail Passes State Inspection

Some good news for the Montague County Jail.

The jail passed it's state inspection by complying with all the Texas minimum jail standards.

This is the first inspection since the jail was declared unfit to house inmates nearly 22 months ago.

Since then, the jail has undergone a nearly million dollar renovation.

When the current Sheriff Paul Cunningham took office in January of last year, he transferred all inmates to Wise County in preparation for those renovations.
