Ariz. Fugitives Indicted On Capitol Murder Charges

A federal grand jury in New Mexico has indicted the two Arizona prisoner escapees and their accomplice in the deaths of an Oklahoma couple.

The U.S. Attorney's Office in Albuquerque said John McCluskey, Tracy Province and Casslyn Welch could face the death penalty if convicted.

The three face capital murder and carjacking charges after the Oklahoma couple's remains were found in their burned-out recreational trailer near Santa Rosa, New Mexico in August.

Authorities say the three defendants remain in Arizona custody and prosecutors will next seek to extradite them to New Mexico.
