Study Finds Ties Between Depression and Unemployment

A new study shows just how often depression and joblessness go hand in hand.  The study by the Centers for Disease Control finds almost 10% of adults with major depression are unemployed.  It's not clear whether unemployment causes depression or whether depression makes it harder to hold a job.

The CDC says nearly 1 in 10 Americans suffers from depression, and about a third of that group has what's considered "major" depression.
