#10 MSU Beats Incarnate Word In A Thriller

It was a wild finish!

The #10 Midwestern State Mustangs needed over-time to beat Incarnate Word 38-31 Saturday night at Memorial Stadium on Family Night.

From the start till the end, it was a shootout between the Cardinals and the Mustangs.

The game went back and forth, as both teams were able to puts points on the scoreboard all night

But the Mustangs got the last laugh when until Zack Eskridge hit Jared Freeman for a 23 yard touchdown in overtime, avoiding an upset from the Cardinals.

Midwestern State junior receiver David Little had a record breaking night. He set a school record with 14 receptions for 181 yards and a touchdown, falling one short of the LSC record.

Eskridge threw for a season-high 317 yards on 27-of-37 passing with three touchdowns. Eskridge's big game provided #10 MSU with 409 yards of total offense

On the defensive side of the ball, Ryan Craven and J.D. Corcoran led the Mustangs effort with 13 tackles each.

Midwestern State will be on the road Saturday as they prepare to battle conference rival #5 Abilene Christian at Shotwell Stadium.

Kickoff is set for 2 p.m.
