The City of Bowie Receives Grant

Another Texoma community is getting a big check from the state.

The Texas Department of Rural Affairs is giving $250,000 to the City of Bowie.

The money is part of the Texas Community Development Block Grant program.

The city will use the funds to replace deteriorated, undersized water mains along Elba and Riley streets.

Rural cities and counties that meet certain population requirements and are not eligible for direct funding from HUD, are eligible to apply for the block grants.
