No Raise In Social Security Benefits For 2011

The government is expected to announce this week nearly 60 million social security recipients will go another year without an increase in monthly benefits.

This would mark only the second year without an increase since 1975, the other year was this year.

The trustees who oversee the project says there will be no cost of living adjustment for 2011.

This is as another hit to Democrats as they defend their congressional majorities in the midterm elections.
