HS Volleyball Roundup: October 12

It was a big night of rivalry games on Tuesday night, with Old High-Rider and Wichita Christian-Notre Dame.

At Rider Fieldhouse, it was "Think Pink" night as fans from both teams, as well as the Lady Raiders, wore pink in order to raise Breast Cancer awareness.

On the court, Rider took a 25-20, 25-22, 25-15 win to move to 3-5 in District play, good for a tie for the 4th and final playoff spot in the District.

Wichita Falls High School fell to 2-7 in District play.

In the other cross-town rivalry game Tuesday, Wichita Christian visited Notre Dame with the TAPPS 1-A title on the line.

The Lady Stars took the first set, but couldn't follow up on the momentum, falling to the Lady Knights for the second time in a week by a score of 19-25, 25-15, 25-17, 25-8.

The win gives the Lady Knights (8-0) the District title and a first-round bye in the playoffs.

Wichita Christian is 6-2 in District play, with their only two losses coming to Notre Dame.
