Researchers from Yale say they've found a gene that appears to play a key role in triggering depression.
They made the discovery after analyzing the brain tissue of nearly two dozen deceased individuals diagnosed with the condition. Mice with the gene also developed depression-like symptoms. Experts hope the findings will pave the way for a new class of antidepressants.
