Inside Texoma: Innocence Lost Trial Delay

The trial of Tommy Castro, the man accused of killing 5-year-old Kati Earnest, was supposed to begin October 18th. But that's now been put on hold.

Newschannel 6 has learned Castro recently fired his attorney, Michael Payne, at a pre-trial hearing in September. Castro said he wasn't happy with his representation.

Judge Dan Mike Byrd gave Castro a few weeks to find new representation, but no word on when that deadline is.
