We're about a month into the roof repairs at the Wichita County Courthouse and we decided to check in for an update.
Crews are currently working to replace the leaking roof of the building built in 1965.
Newschannel 6 spoke with Precinct 4 County Commissioner Bill Presson.
He said, so far, work on the roof has gone off without a hitch.
Presson has some strong words about the original construction.
"It's had problems with leaking and it's the scourge of all construction. It's a flat roof, so at this point and time we're putting a sloped roof on it," said Presson.
The cost of the repairs come in at $489,000.
