Bowie Closer To K2 Ban

A step forward for Bowie City Councilors in their pursuit of banning the herbal mix K2.
Tuesday Bowie City Councilors heard from the City Attorney to begin discussing the possible ban of the substance.
The City Attorney will now draft an ordinance banning K2.
It will then be reviewed by the council at a later date.
K2, also known as Spice, is a synthetic marijuana-like substance being sold legally in many stores.
So far, three Texoma towns, Electra, Graham and Olney, have banned the substance.
The city of Nocona is also considering banning  the herbal blend, and will take up the subject next month.
Currently, state politicians are drafting legislation for a statewide ban.
