Texoma Teens Make a Difference

The annual Teens Make a Difference event sent youth out to make a positive impact in Texoma Saturday.

Over 2,000 students got together to aid non-profit centers like the American Red Cross, the Rainbow House, and Patsy's House.

Organizers said turnout is up by hundreds over previous years, and this was the perfect way to get people involved in the community for years to come.

This was the 9th year the Nonprofit Center hosted the event.

Students age 13 to 18 fanned out across the city to lend a hand. Projects ended shortly after noon. After the event, teens got a free t-shirt and a pizza lunch, and had the chance to win prizes.
