Iowa Park's Lee Clubb Named Papa John's Player of the Week

After three prior nominations, Iowa Park's Lee Clubb finally took home the hardware in Week 8.

The Hawks' quarterback led his team to a come-from-behind win Friday night in Burkburnett, 27-26.

The Hawks trailed 20-0 in the second quarter after three Devin Chaffin touchdown runs, but Clubb brought them back.

First he led them on a 95-yard drive in 1:08 at the end of the first half, capped with a 58-yard pass to Dillan Ross that made it 20-7 at halftime.

Then in the second half he ran for a pair of scores, on runs on 47 and 9 yards, then threw a 2-yard pass to Matt Rodgers for the game's final score.

Clubb finished with 17 carries for 143 yards and the 2 scores, while passing for 154 yards and the 2 more touchdowns.

This week the Hawks host Bowie in 6-3A action.
