Texas Rangers Keep World Series Alive

Reported by: Charlie Bartlett

They were down, but they're not out. The Texas Rangers are clawing right back in the series.

Saturday night, the Rangers made history at the Rangers Ballpark in Arlington as they defeated the San Francisco Giants 4-2 in Game 3 of the 2010 World Series. It's the Rangers' first World Series win in franchise history.

Mitch Moreland got things going for Texas. He bombed a three-run shot to left field, giving the Rangers the 3-0 lead.

But the Texas bats wanted some more. Josh Hamilton nailed a solo shot in the bottom of the 5th inning extending their lead to 4-0.

San Francisco managed to score two runs in the 7th and 8th, but it wasn't enough for the comeback. Neftali Feliz got the save for Texas as the Rangers took Game 3 from the Giants winning 4-2.

San Francisco leads the best-of-seven series 2-1.

Game four is Sunday. First pitch is set for 7:20 PM.
