Operation Christmas Child 2010

Residents of Wichita Falls are getting ready to start collecting gifts for the world's largest Christmas projects.

The First Baptist Church Student Center is preparing to serve as a collection point of operation Christmas child.

Through this program, area residents can send shoe box gifts this year to more than 8 million children in 100 countries suffering from a multitude of miseries.

The operation also has tracking technology to allow donors to follow their box to the destination country.

The national collection week is from November 15th to the 22nd.
