Newschannel 6 hit the streets in Olney today. Voters there shot down an ordinance that would have made it legal to sell alcohol inside city limits. This was the third time the issue was on the ballot, but the different on this 'no' vote was how many people voted against the ordinance. The issue was decided by less than 20 votes each of the first two time the issue appeared on the ballot. This time around the difference was 107 votes. City Administrator Danny Parker said, "there are people on both sides of the issue." Newschannel 6 asked Parker if he believes the issue will be brought up again. He said he doesn't really see that happening again anytime soon.
