MSU to Open Season Ranked #20 in Division II

It's almost time for the Midwestern State Mustang Basketball team to begin their run to another Elite Eight.

On Wednesday the Preseason NABC Division II Coaches' Poll came out, with the Mustangs surprisingly low at number twenty.

The national panel apparently was looking more at who's left since last season than who the Mustangs have added.

Rival Tarleton State, whom MSU beat four times last year, is ranked 11th overall, and highest among South-Central Region teams.

They open up Thursday night in Waco, with an exhibition against Division I #14 Baylor, followed on Tuesday with another exhibition at #8 Purdue.
