Walk Raises Awareness for Suicide

Around 75 people participated in the Out of the Darkness Community Walk at Lucy Park Saturday. The event was to benefit  the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

For many walkers the event was about more than just raising awareness it was a part of their healing.

This was the fourth year for the event in Wichita Falls.

Folks from Sheppard Air Force Base were also on hand to show their support. There are over 200 communities holding these three to five mile walks throughout the country this fall.
