W.C. Commissioners Approve Funds For Training & Emergency Equipment

Now that the Wichita County Medical Examiner's office is closed, Justices of the Peace need some extra training.

Monday, County Commissioners approved $2,000 for training for the new Inquest system.

It was set up last week when the M.E.'s office was closed.

Commissioners also approved about $40,000 in equipment for the Emergency Management office.

That includes a powered generator and communication devices like handheld radios.

All of that money will be reimbursed through a Homeland Security grant.
