Boy Scouts Celebrate 100 Years With Key Note Speaker

 The Boys Scouts are turning 100 this year and on Thursday night, Wichita Falls celebrated with an anniversary dinner and fundraiser.

The event was held at the MPEC. Exxon Mobile CEO Rex Tillerson was the key note speaker.  He's a Wichita Falls native and shared a special message with the crowd. "Obviously we're gathered to celebrate the 100th birthday of scouting here in Wichita Falls and the Northwest Texas Area Council. So we really wanna talk about how important scouting has been for the last 100 years and the values of scouting, how they're timeless, and talk about the next hundred years."

Tillerson told NewsChannel 6 that this event was a very special occasion for him being from Wichita Falls. He was named one Fortune Magazine's Top 25 Most Powerful people in business.
