#2 MSU Overpowers #3 Orediggers

Keep the playoff run going.

Sunday afternoon, #2 Midwestern State defeated #3 Colorado Mines 3-1 in the 2nd Round of the NCAA Division II Soccer Playoffs at the MSU Soccer Field.

Mustangs put the dagger into the Orediggers, when Paulo Teixeira buried a 25-yard shot from the right wing in the 88th minute for the two goal lead, giving MSU the 3-1 win.

Dean Lovegrove and Bryce Taylor also scoring for the Mustangs.

Midwestern State is moving on to their 4th NCAA II Quarterfinal. Their next opponent is Chico State.

This game will be played on Saturday November 20th at the University Soccer Stadium in Chico, California, winner advancing to the Final Four in Louisville, Kentucky.

Midwestern State improved to 18-0-2 on the season, also advancing their home field unbeaten streak to 32 games.
