MSU Soccer Headed To Louisville

Midwestern State Mustangs making history!

Saturday afternoon, the #2 Mustangs shut out Cal State Chico 5-0 in the NCAA Division II National Quarterfinals at the University Soccer Stadium in Chico, California.

MSU led 3-0 after the first half with two goals from David Freeland and one goal from Chris Dwyer. Freeland got his third goal in the second half, giving him the hat trick. VcMor Eligwe put number five on the board for this 11th goal of the season.

Senior goalkeeper Raul Herrera got 21st career shutout.

Midwestern State advances to the NCAA II Final Four for the second time in school history and first time since 2007.

The Mustangs will face the winner of the Super Region No. 1 final between Clayton State and Rollins Thurs., Dec. 2 in Louisville, Ky.
