The Munday Moguls take on the Windthorst Trojans Friday night in Breckenridge in one of ten district rematches around Texas this week. In fact, it's one of two in Texoma, the other being Rider against Denton Ryan.
The Moguls and Trojans both play in District 8-A Division II, along with Archer City, who the Trojans beat on Friday to get here.
That means that two of this district's three playoff teams will wind up being eliminated by another team from 8-A-II.
The district's coaches have all been saying since the start of the year that it's the best Class A district in Texas, and it looks like they were right.
"It's going to be a tough task," Moguls Coach Pat Corcoran said of taking on Windthorst.
"You know, it's pretty neat that two district teams are meeting up in this position. Just says a lot about District 8, with Archer City still being alive last week. You know, we're proud to be a part of this district. We know how tough football it is to play in it, and we're just looking forward to the challenge on Friday night."
Windthorst won the first meeting 41-12 in Week Nine, taking a 27-6 lead into the half off of several Munday turnovers.
The only other losses of the season for either team came in Zero Week, when the Moguls fell to Stamford and Windthorst lost to Archer County rival Holliday.
