More Improvements Headed To W.F. Municipal Airport

There are new signs of potential growth for the Wichita Falls Municipal Airport.

The Wichita Falls city manager got the green light to apply for the FAA's Military Airports Program.

Tuesday morning city councilors met to discuss more steps that could be taken to secure funding for renovations to the Municipal Airport.

The program will allow the city manager to request up to $35 million for capital improvement projects at the airport.

Councilors also awarded a bid to Wichita Falls Ford for the purchase of 13 Crown Victorias which will be made into new police patrol vehicles.
