HS Hoops Roundup: December 7

Rider finally has all of their boys basketball team together after football season ended. What better test than a trip up I-44 to face the #6 team in 3A, the Burkburnett Bulldogs?

The Raiders hung tough through the first quarter but eventually the Dunkin' Dogs' depth and talent wore them down for a 91-75 win. Jerard Graham led the 'Dogs with 23 points, while Mario Garcia added 14.

The schools' girls teams also played Tuesday night, down at Rider's gym. The Lady Raiders got 13 points from Lauren Haley and held off the Lady Bulldogs 48-45 when Macy Cooke's last second half-court 3 came up short.

The Wichita Falls High School Coyotes went down to Everman and came away with a 74-56 loss. D.J. Jordan led the Coyotes with 17 points, while Manny Maldonado added 14.

The Hirschi Lady Huskies got 16 points from Camille Lee in a 49-43 home win over Henrietta.

The Notre Dame Knights hosted Byers, and ended the game on a 13-2 run to sting Byers 59-49. Earlier the Lady Knights improved to 5-3 on the year with a 50-33 win over the Lady Hornets. Mary Brady led the way with 17 points, while Sarah Majewski had 15.

Wichita Christian's Lady Stars suffered their 3rd loss of the year to state-ranked Prairie Valley (#23 in Class A Div. II), this time by a score of 67-46.
