Burkburnett High School is the smallest school in their own tournament, the Bulldog Classic. But that rarely slows down the #6 Dunkin' Dogs.
Thursday night they faced Carrollton Creekview in the tournament's first round, and after a sluggish first half that had them up just 45-41 at halftime, they eventually took an 88-67 victory.
Brent Deeb scored a team-high 17 points, while Mario Garcia added 16.
On Friday night the Bulldogs will face Dallas Highland Park, who beat Plainview 69-41 in the last game of the night. Tip-off will be at 7:30.
Creekview meets Plainview at 4:30 PM.
On the other side of the bracket, Wichita Falls High School took on #17 Canyon Randall in the tournament's first game. The Coyotes fell behind 17-5 after the first quarter en route to a 69-50 loss.
