Wild Fire Raging In Texoma

Fire crews estimate that at least 50-60 acres of land has burned at a grass fire in Archer County.

Fire crews tell Newschannel 6 they let the fire burn itself out. Crews say one home was in danger, but they were able to redirect the fire. Crews say the home is not at risk anymore.

The fire sparked Northwest of Holliday around 9:30 a.m. near East Ferguson Rd. At that time, the Archer Co. Emergency Dispatch called Archer City, Holliday, Kickapoo and Lakeside City Volunteer Fire Departments to respond. Electra and Wichita West Volunteer Fire Departments were called to the scene around 10:30 a.m.

Crews from 7 different departments battled the blaze. Archer County is under a burn ban.
