Scammers Posing As Medicare Officials

People who receive medicare are being targeted in Texoma.
Scammers are preying on medicare recipients through the telephone.

The Better Business Bureau confirms con artists are calling recipients claiming they need to issue a new card to the user.
But need more information before a new card can be processed.
We spoke with one Texoma woman who was called and she told us she hung up the phone and called the medicare fraud hotline.
The BBB says that is the right thing to do.
Officials say never give your information over the phone.
