Wichita Falls Man Headed To Prison For Smurfing

A Wichita Falls man will spend the next 20 years in prison. Joseph Enox, 37, was sentenced for his role in a pill smurfing conspiracy.

Enox pleaded guilty in July to one count of conspiracy to possess and distribute pseudophedrine.

State and federal law enforcement officers began investigating the smurfing ring last year in the Dallas Fort Worth area.

The investigation revealed that several people were getting pseudophedrine through over the counter medication and giving it to Enox and anther person. They used it to manufacture meth in Wichita Falls.
