The risk for wild fires has prompted a third Texoma county to issue a burn ban. Clay County Commissioners approved the ban, although they say there are some exceptions. If you are participating in fire fighter training or part of a public utilities operation, you will not be found in violation. Other exceptions--planting a crop, welding with a spotter and more than 100 gallons of water, or cooking in an enclosed container, like a grill with a lid. The ban is in place for the next 30 days.
