Tuesday Night Hoops Roundup: December 21

The pre-Christmas UIL basketball schedule wrapped up Tuesday night with a slate of games around Texoma.

The Rider Raiders and Lady Raiders were in action Tuesday afternoon. The Lady Raiders continued district play, taking their first loss in 4-4A play 42-25 at Denton Ryan. Sammie Hislop had 15 points to lead Rider (14-4, 2-1).

The Raiders were back home hosting #3 Burkburnett, and they hung tough with the fast-paced Dunkin' Dogs, but Burkburnett held on for a 72-68 win.

The Wichita Falls High School girls stepped out of district play to host Stephenville. Carolyn Taylor scored a game-high 22 points to lead the Lady Coyotes to a 53-51 win, their second-straight two-point victory. The win improves Old High's overall record to 12-4.

At City View, the Bowie Jackrabbits came in and despite the Mustangs holding a 12-point lead in the second quarter, Bowie rallied for a 56-52 win.

And in Iowa Park, the Hawks hosted Munday and easily flew past the Class-A Moguls 75-45.
