Net Neutrality Agreement Passed by the FCC

The FCC has adopted new rules designed to ensure fair play on the Internet.

Under the rules, cable-TV and phone companies that control Internet networks, like AT&T and Comcast, will be barred from blocking access to competing applications or Websites.

They also will not be allowed to speed up access to Websites belonging to high paying clients.

Some say the rules don't go far enough. Others say the government should stay out of the online business.
