Revisions to Mark Twain's Novels

Two classic books are being revised.

New editions of Mark Twain's "Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" and "Tom Sawyer" plan to replace the n-word with the word "slave" in an effort not to offend readers.

The Twain scholar planning on publishing the books in a combined volume in February says he found when he used the word "slave" in place of the n-word at public readings, audiences were more accepting.

Other scholars blasted his decision, accusing him of desecrating the novels.
