Traffic Stop Leads To Major Drug Bust

More drugs are off the streets in Wichita Falls today.

The Wichita Falls Gang Task Force pulled over a driver in the 1800 block of Monroe for a routine traffic stop. Officers said they found .5 ounces of meth on the driver. As a result, police obtained a search warrant for a home in the 1300 block of Bell.

There officers say they found 45 grams of pseudoephedrine, a key ingredient in meth, 2.4 grams of heroin, 29 grams of meth and 2 handguns. Police said one of the handguns had been reported stolen.

Maribel Lopez, 38, and Jose Luis Luna, 31, were both arrested. Lopez is facing 2 counts of Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance. Luna is facing 3 counts of Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance, 2 of those are enhanced as they were in a drug free zone. Luna is also facing a charge of Tampering with Physical Evidence.
