Oklahoma's New And First Female Governor Takes Office

Oklahoma now has a new Governor in office. Republican Mary Fallin took the oath of office Monday and is officially Oklahoma's first woman Governor. Fallin became Oklahoma's 27th Governor and is replacing Democrat Brad Henry. During her campaign, she promised to make Oklahoma more business friendly, improve public education and reduce the size of state government. She takes office as Oklahoma faces a budget shortfall of several hundred million dollars.
