Meals On Wheels Needs Volunteers During Inclement Weather

All this inclement weather is not only calling for warm clothing, but also for volunteers to feed the community warm food.

Meals on Wheels delivery services is in need of drivers to bring dinners to those at Senior Citizens Services of North Texas.

During terrible weather, the need for volunteers dramatically increases, as many as 750 meals need to be catered to home-bound seniors and disabled people in the Falls throughout the week.

Volunteers don't have to spend a huge amount of time on deliveries and many complete a route in 45 minutes to an hour. The commitment can be one route a week, multiple routes or a person can be placed on a standby list that is called in on a case-by-case basis.

If you are willing to help, please phone Kelly Patton, volunteer coordinator of Senior Citizens Services of North Texas at 940-322-6232.
