Illinois Senate Votes To Abolish Capital Punishment

Illinois could soon be joining another 15 states in abolishing capital punishment.

Wednesday night the Senate voted to get rid of the death penalty  All that's needed now is a signature from Governor Pat Quinn.

The house approved the repeal last week.
