Texoma Girl Scouts Learn Secrets of Sales

Nearly 100 Girl Scouts learned the tricks of the trade at a "Cookie Sale University" Saturday. Scouts were trained in the "five essential" skills that the Cookie Sale teaches: goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills and business ethics.

The school was held at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Wichita Falls from 10 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. The day's events also featured fun activities in addition to the training.

The "university" was held in preparation for the annual Girl Scout Cookie Sale. That will run from Feb. 11 until March 27. Cookies will be $3.50 a box and all proceeds will go to benefit Texoma Girl Scout troops.
