Woman Charged in Connection with Escape from Annex

A woman accused of helping four men escape from the jail annex has been indicted on three courts of felony escape.

20-year-old Stacy Ann Brackeen was arrested days after the escape in August.

Brackeen told Wichita County deputies a few days before the escape she received a call from her husband and inmate, Jonathan Slagle, telling her something big was about to happen and that she should wait for a phone call.

According to the indictment, DPS troopers stopped Brackeen's vehicle as she was on her way to pick up the escapees. One of the admitted escapees, Jimmy Hughes, testified about Brackeen's involvement in his trial on aggravated sexual assault charges against a child.

Investigators say all the escapees admitted to Brackeen's involvement.
