Trial Moves Forward on Man Accused in Burglary Ring

A man who authorities say was involve in a three county burglary ring went in front of a Wichita County judge Thursday.

Angel Diaz is charged with theft over $20,000 but under $100,000.

The prosecutor and defense attorney met today in a pretrial conference to determine the status of his case.

Diaz was part of a five man burglary ring taking place in Archer, Clay and Wichita counties.
The ring was caught when four of them knocked on the door of a house off Hammon Ranch Road in March of 2010, asking for directions to Wichita Falls. The resident was suspicious and called law enforcement prompting a chase off Highway 79. Officials were able to locate items from two robberies.
